Regional Co-Creation

We address local challenges to realize a better future,
with the goal of creating a sustainable society.

As a business aimed at solving regional issues and realizing an ideal future, Kamichiku engages in initiatives to revitalize communities by involving a wide range of stakeholders including governments, retailers, financial institutions, and media. By enabling local leaders to promote projects that leverage their region’s unique characteristics, we aim to create a sustainable society.

Revitalization of Okuchi Breeding Farm

In 2012, Kamichiku took over the operations of the Okuchi Breeding Farm in Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture. We renovated the barns and farm facilities and expanded the number of cattle raised, leading to job creation and the revitalization of the livestock industry.

Roadside Station Revitalization Project

Kamichiku was commissioned to operate roadside stations in Isa City and Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture. By applying our unique strengths in retail operations, we helped turn them into popular destinations. We work in collaboration with local producers, farmers, and food processors to contribute to community revitalization.

Aso Ubuyama Project

In partnership with Ubuyama Village in Kumamoto Prefecture, Kamichiku is revitalizing local communities through ranch redevelopment, forage grass utilization, and the launch of multifunctional facilities such as restaurants. The project has contributed to an increase in new workers, job creation, and local tax revenues, making it a nationally recognized model of regional revitalization.
